Transport is the essential part of the wedding that is both obviously important and often taken for granted. Sure the bride and groom want the luxury cars for this one particular time. What about umpteen guests who want to drink champagne and not worry about a ride home? And the guests who come from out of town, need to be picked up from the airport? Don’t even think about the expense and the number of cars involved for each individual/group. Use a shuttle bus, or two, taking a dozen of more people together. It’s easy enough to arrange for the guests to be picked up from a dozen different locations, and if there’s a strict schedule (it’s not really that strict) then the guests tend to avoid procrastination and get ready on time.
A few hotels run their own shuttle buses, which will occasionally work to your advantage. They might be fine for airport pickup before the wedding, but they are unlikely to be heading to your ceremony on the day. If you hire your own shuttle service, however, you can avoid the complications of matching up transportation, or limited parking at the venue, or individuals not knowing the way. And you can avoid the issue of a designated driver, which nobody wants to be on this particular day, by getting a professional driver who can approach things objectively.
